Dier by name Dier by nature afraid. Round pegs in square holes again by Levy looking to use squad players to fill in, in any position needed. That’s why we have Sissoko filling in at left back sometimes 😂😂. Dier is right footed and uses his left foot for standing on only. Talk about looking uncomfortable. Our set up is amateur that stems from Levy and filters down. I would have more respect for Mourinho if he walked away citing lack of decent signings. Poch was the same he should have walked away when he didn’t get the backing he deserved. The obscene sums of money being paid to Mourinho will stop this happening afraid and so the Enic charade goes on and on. Granted we are new kids on the block in terms of competing with the established top teams but we are supposedly one of the wealthiest clubs in the World our chairman needs reminding when looking at new recruits.

We’ll bounce back, our fitness is weeks behind and we’re trying to fit new players into the team plus our most creative midfielder Lo Celso was out. N’Dombele needs to start playing so I’m not reading too much into one very poor game. Starting games slowly is another bad habit we need rid of. Don’t lose faith just yet.

Ah, nothing like a loss to bust open a can of vitriol. Liverpool weren’t at their best and muddled through with a little help from VAR their friends. Perennial flat track bullies Arsenal spanked newly promoted Fulham, Leicester demolished the newly promoted Baggies. No real surprises there.

As usual, our season hasn’t gotten off to a stellar start due to a number of factors, not all restricted to Spurs, but in the main are the result of a poorly run football club blundering its way through another season. Recruitment and transfers still incomplete, player fitness not there yet and we’re only one game in. This team could be on its knees after the next two weeks. Don’t give me excuses, give me results!

Already the excuses being reeled out. Lack of pre season, Corona virus, we are such a “ special” project that this only impacts on us as other teams appear unaffected. Prepare for a season of having our faces rubbed in the dirt by Arsenal and Chelsea. There is no excuse for a manager earning £15 million a year to start a season with that level of energy or commitment from the players. It looks like the players have seen the All or Nothing videos and thought why am I at a club owned by ENIC with a Chairman like Levy wasting my career. This of course will probably apply to our best players like Kane and Sony whilst our Championship standard players like Davies, Winks, Dier, Sissoko, Ali, Hoijberg, Moura etc will be saying they need more time to develop. How is it possible that Everton appear able to field a side with three key additions fit and raring to go when the season starts yet again we are still stumbling around trying to find the right players. Perhaps Levy and Hitchens need to go and see how they appear to manage this difficult process of buying players. It really is quite simple. Firstly when you buy a football club you do so for the primary reason of running that football club as the main focus. You then identify where you need to strengthen and you “invest” in a budget that enables you to afford to buy these players. You then place offers that are close to what the selling club is looking for along with the agent and player. Then you bring in these players early and they train any get a pre season before the opening match of the new season. You then get the team fired up and motivated and go and beat a team that has not beaten you in 8 years playing in your billion dollar new stadium. That further motivates the players and the fans and gives you a platform to build on.As Holt said in his recent article José is a camouflage that Levy hopes to hide behind.A faux club with no substance rapidly declining.

Honestly believe in the past we only kept Dier to keep deli happy and on board, the boy regularly gives the ball away Can’t defend crosses coming in from wide areas general awareness of what’s going on around him is very poor apart from how quick did he realise his brother was in an argument in the stand from 70 yards away
No better than Anthony Gardner

I can already hear one of those regrettable youtube dance tracks worked around that sound clip along the lines of YOU’VE GOT NO FANS SONG! FULL SONG! by Wealdstone Raider forming in my head

This one would sound more like a passive aggressive version of The Macarena

With all due respect to Jose, I’m not sure this relationship is suited to either party. I think Levy need’s to go back to building his 5 year project cycle and bring in another young hungry manager. His transfer model is suited to this. Jose will not be given the time he needs to rebuild without constant pressure from the fans and even the board as they will expect trophies and top 6 for their 15m a year..Levy still hasn’t sold any of the players we need to shift, this could take 2-3 years and I don’t think theres enough goodwill left in the fan base…by the time the rebuild has taken place, our best players will be off or not at their best so the whole thing starts again..

At what point does the level of expectation from Levy and the level of the money he’s prepared to spend on the team become a reality for him? It might be about now…
