“Brilliant signing” – Jamie O’Hara believes Tottenham star is worth £100m

By Mehdi Gokal -

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has heaped praise on Yves Bissouma claiming that he now looks like a £100m player.

Bissouima dropped another solid performance against Bournemouth as they secured a 2-0 victory, their first back to back win in the Premier League since February.

The Mali international has established himself as one of Tottenham’s best players under Ange Postecoglou.

Bissouma has been a breath of fresh air for the Tottenham midfield. He has become an instant Ange favourite as reported by Alasdair Gold, who stated that Postecoglou “loves him.”

Speaking on TalkSport, O’Hara expressed his admiration for Bissouma’s improvement under the new manager.

He also drew comparisons with big-money transfers like Caicedo, highlighting that Bissouma too is starting to look like a £100m player.

He said:

“For me, when he came in from Brighton, I thought he’s going to be a brilliant signing. And last season, he was terrible. This season, he looks unbelievable,”

“He looks like a £100 million player. You talk about the players like Caicedo going for £115 million. Well, Caicedo was the replacement for Bissouma at Brighton.

And we’ve got Bissouma. Now we’re starting to see what he really is about, because he looks like it’s just easy for him in there.”

His debut season with Spurs, following his £25 million move from Brighton, was marred by injuries and difficulties adapting to former manager Antonio Conte’s tactics.

But he has found his old form back and from what we have seen so far, it is quite evident that he is going to be one of the most important players for Tottenham this season.

TBH Says:

Given the current market dynamics where players like Rice and Caicedo have been secured for sums exceeding £100 million, Bissouma could very well be placed in that same valuation bracket if he continues his brilliant form.
