Yes, I remember that bit of dialogue from Dad’s Army; in fact that particular episode was on TV fairly recently.

I’m trying to remember the last world class star we attracted to Spurs, I know we’ve bought players who have won great things once they moved on (Modric Berbatov Bale etc)

Klinsmann is one which springs to mind….and that was under a different owner.

The blueprint devised by our current owners is scandalist, I read so many players are rejecting us as they see it as a backward step.

The sad thing is our owners know that they will always have full houses as the fanbase is huge, with season ticket waiting lists greater than the 42K already allocated.

Most expensive ticket prices in the league and that was even when we were at WHL.

Thanks ENIC for destroying our club and making us the laughing stock.

[Quote] Spurs players looked like they were something out of the ‘territorial army’ 🤣. Thought you were going to say ‘Dad’s Army’ for a brief moment.

MainwaringOh you’d stick up for him wouldn’t you? You both went to public school didn’t you?
WilsonYou know sir, I can’t help feeling that you’ve got a bit of a chip on your shoulder about that.
MainwaringThere’s no chip on my shoulder. I’ll tell you what there is though, three pips and don’t you forget it.
