I really wish he would drop £150m for transfers but I don’t think he will. Shame because the platform is there for us to kick on from.

Actually, I have spoken to several landlords down the high road who have said it has increased their take – sure more people are drinking in the stadium, but there are twice as many people in the area, so they’re doing ok.

Nows the time for Joe to chuck us £100mil. Actually Levy’s worth a billion now apparently, maybe he should. Not sure if he has that liquid though

The extra worry I have for this coming season is, if I’ve understood correctly, that FFP rules are being relaxed a bit because of the Covid impact. These rules seemed to have limited impact on the ‘big boys’ in previous years anyway so they could strengthen even further this year. If we don’t try to keep up this year, we’ll be even further behind the pack in the 5 years to come. It’s not just the amount of money a club has to spend that matters, it’s the willingness to spend it and spend it well that counts. On that last point we are serial underachievers.

All the property bought belongs to Tottenham (Tottenham borrowed the money to buy it. When ENIC sell the club the property will still belong to Tottenham. No Tottenham money was used to buy ENIC property.

I saw what was going on from the moment ENIC/LEVY decided to build the stadium and started buying up the high road from park lane to Northumberland park. Nothing anyone could do about it. It is what it was. No point b!thing about it coz it’ll change nothing. I just get behind my team
The footballing side of it (phase five) is now

Indeed H. ENIC and their various assorted stooges and apologists have been disingenuously peddling the poverty myth for years, as a pretext for not investing in the team. None of it has ever been true.

Unfortunately now however, saddled with a generational debt of almost 1 billion GBP, THFC is thoroughly insolvent. Unlike Messrs Lewis and Levy with a combined net worth of more than 5 million GBP and no personal liability for the stadium funding/business model fiasco.

Parasitism is unlovely in any form and thus it is with ENIC. Only the blind are unable to see it for what it is. THFC is solely and only a vehicle for the financial aggrandisement of ENIC and its shareholders. The footballing side of the operation merely an inconvenient encumbrance.

What do you know about local businesses in my community? Obviously nothing. Let me enlighten you. On match days money get mek along the high road. More than on non match days. Not everyone only spends in the stadium. I’ll give you an example. Chris and the boys in chick king order more chicken when Tottenham play. My cousins spot “jerk n ting on park lane makes a good few quid on match days too. My bredrins joint the blue coats (lovely boozer to watch football in) kerchings it on match days also. Why would you think any of the shops with more footfall wouldn’t make extra? Why you always gotta try put the stadium down all the time? Carrying on daft
The school get £2k a season for use of their playground even. Nuff youts I know have stopped serving up to work at tottenham. All this crap about hate ENIC but love Tottenham yet you coat the club and her home off every chance you get. You have no idea what Tottenham and her foundation do in the community.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse. Picks 4 RBs and we haven’t got one of any note.

It’s just attention grabbing. There’s money to be made from people’s interest in Spurs and other clubs. When I see a Spurs linked with such and such a player I have learned to ignore it, else you drive yourself cuckoo.

In the end, THFC is just a brand to ENIC that they can exploit to get more bank financing to develop real estate.

We are going end up with a Euro 2020 manager. One who has not been so successful that his resignation will be much of a loss to the country he has managed, but one who has not been a complete failure either. Cheap, but not evidently a failure. If England only get as far as the quarter finals, I can’t see Southgate hanging on to his job, but I can see him go to the top of Levy’s most wanted list…

I never said ENIC were up to anything productive for the community, they are clearly trying to maximize profit for their sponsors.

You tell me what the stadium does for the businesses in the local area. Sure, they’re employing more people to run the stadium. But wait, what does keeping everyone in buying pints and food do for the local pubs and food outlets on match day? It REDUCES their capacity to earn on match days, not the other way round.

The local area should get the retail benefits of match day foot fall if ‘regeneration’ is what they are supposedly creating? More sly and underhand PR spin from ENIC….

The only ‘positive’ in this whole mess is that Levy & ENIC have been fully exposed for what they really are, even to those that kept making excuses When Leicester have been more successful in well under 10 years under their owners than we have been in 22 under ours, it doesn’t take a great deal of working out.

We’ve got sh*t owners…

Seems clear to me that ENIC are a real estate development company. THFC is a cash generating asset that provides ENIC the funding and werewithal to expand their portfolio in North London. If ENIC are in fact siphoning funds from THFC to build more property and not reinvesting these funds into THFC, that is clearly not acting in the best interests of THFC.

So THFC is just another tenant, but one that is fully owned by ENIC. I’m not familiar with English law, but perhaps there is a way to force ENIC to sell THFC due to some kind of conflict of interest? Otherwise, we’ll just continue along like this forever.
