Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move away from AS Roma at the end of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur have been monitoring his situation for sometime and they could look to make a move in the coming weeks.
Paulo Dybala would improve Spurs
It is no secret that they need more quality in the attack. The South American attacker could prove to be a very useful acquisition. The 32-year-old has the quality and the experience to help them improve. He can operate as a centre forward as well as a second striker.
He has technical attributes to operate on the flanks as well. Dybala is not just a goalscorer; he will create opportunities for his teammates. He has 11 goal contributions this season.
This could be the ideal opportunity for him to move to the Premier League. He is entering the twilight stages of his career, and Dybala could look to test himself at the highest level. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done.
Spurs eyeing Dybala move
According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham have tried to sign him in the past. It remains to be seen whether they can convince him this time around.
Pete O’Rourke explained: “If he doesn’t agree on a new deal with Roma and becomes a free agent, there will be Premier League clubs looking at him.
“Tottenham have been long-term admirers of him, they tried to get a deal done for him a few years ago now, so I’m sure they will be aware of his situation.
“On his day, he’s a top player, he’s proved that over years in Serie A previously at Juventus and now at Roma as well.
“Maybe now because of his age, it might put a few clubs off and he has struggled with injuries this season.”
The player will be out of contract soon, and signing a performer of his quality on a free transfer would be a huge bargain for Tottenham. They are already looking to sign players like Andrew, Robertson, and Marcos Senesi. It is clear that they are targeting free agents this summer to add more depth and experience to the team.
