Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old attacker is highly rated across Europe, and he has a bright future. According to reports from Spain, Tottenham have already offered €45 million for the Argentine prodigy, but they have been told they would need to cough up €70 million in order to get the deal done.

Franco Mastantuono needs more games

The 19-year-old has had limited opportunities in La Liga, and he will be hoping to play more often next season. He has played 855 minutes in the league this season. Moving to Tottenham could be an exciting opportunity for him, but there is no guarantee he would be a regular starter.

Mastantuono is a right winger, and Tottenham already have Mohammed Kudus in that role. The Ghana International has been excellent since joining Tottenham, and he will return from his injury next season. It seems unlikely that the north London club will drop him in order to accommodate the South American.

Mastantuono needs to join a club where he can play regularly. He must seek assurance of gametime from the London club before joining them.

Mastantuono asking price makes the move difficult

Also, the €70 million asking price could complicate matters for the Premier League side. They need to improve multiple areas of the squad, and they will not want to pay that kind of money on a player who might not start every week.

There is no doubt that the 19-year-old is a phenomenal talent, and he could develop into a future star with the right guidance. Mastantuono has been hailed as other-worldly and ‘incredible’ by Dani Carvajal. He will add goals and creativity to the team. However, it does not make sense for Tottenham to spend €70 million on what would be a luxury addition for now.
