THREE IN FOUR PUNTERS believe football will be one step closer to coming home by close of play on Wednesday night, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies have revealed a staggering 74% of all bets placed so far on tonight’s crunch clash between England and Denmark have been in favour of a win for the Three Lions.
Gareth Southgate’s men head into the semi-final as 8/13 favourites to win the match in 90 minutes, while 11/1 says they win a penalty shootout for the second successive major tournament.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told The Boy: “One night in Rome has got punters believing this is England’s year, and with three in four bets favouring Southgate’s men, the next few days could prove costly for bookies.”
