Truth About The Foyth Deal

By The Boy -

Prompted by this indignant reader comment –

I decided to to see if there was anything more out there other than the information that was already in the public domain. We knew that the player’s agent had flown into London to meet with Levy and had left without concluding a deal.

But was there anything else? Could really be our glorious chairman’s fault?

Lo and behold, Tom Collomosse had already published the truth some 10 hours ago in the Evening Standard.

“Reports in Argentina indicate that Tottenham’s offer was an initial payment of £5.4m, with the remaining £2.6m dependent on appearances and performance targets.”

So yet again, Levy’s DNA was all over this, yet another dead duck of a deal.

He wouldn’t shell out a whole £8million in one go.

Buying anything when you have money isn’t complicated. Levy makes everything he touches painfully, witheringly complicated.

As mentioned previously, this kid wasn’t going to immediately transform Spurs’ fortunes, rather he would quite possibly turn out to be a lucrative mid-term money making acquisition.

Maybe Noel Devitt wants to track see if there’s a comments box on the Standard he can clog up with his pitiful excuse making.
