The Jig Is Up For Poch

By The Boy -

He can’t rotate because he has nobody good enough to rotate with.

Think back to the last Europa League campaign – and the one before that. We were beaten by the first good team we played on both occasions.

Why? Because our playing staff is so thin, that you can’t dilute it any more.

The Harry Kane fairytale is just that. A fairytale. A lotto win. Money found in the street.

Levy of course doesn’t operate on the same mental plane as most go humanity does. He looks at Kane and sees a replicable business model.

Let me paint a picture even the thickest of you can understand.

We’re on set, watching the recording of the TV series ‘Dragon’s Den’.

Out of the lift comes Harry Kane and his mum.

Harry’s mum pipes up.

She is offering 20% of her next child in return for £5million.

Need I go on?

The premise of Ira Levin’s excellent The Boys From Brazil was more credible.

Instead of running Spurs like a hedge fund, we need to be run like a football club.

I’m unconvinced Pochettino as our manager is conducive to that aim.

So we should abandon our development squad?

No, of course not, but what needs to happen is for fans to quit accepting the lie that we’re operating some conveyor belt of talent here.

We’re not.

What also needs to stop is us buying outright much like Sh*tssoko and N’Cluedo and flipping Clinton Cards.

Build a team, try and win stuff.

Almost certainly the most offensive words I’ve ever published.
