Good to see Eric Dier getting snapped up for a contract extension.

The general consensus is that this new deal puts the 23 year old on £70,000 per week and the contract now runs to 2021.

Champions League football was clearly an influencing factor.

Wembley being filled with 80,000 or more Tottenham fans is going to be an amazing experience. Playing in the Champions League there is very unique, so those two things are going to be fantastic.

Gary Lineker approaches THFC’s Wembley deal with a tad more caution…

I don’t imagine playing at Wembley will help Tottenham but it will be interesting to see whether it harms them

It’s different because it’s not your home ground. Your home ground gives you comforts.

You get in the dressing room which you know and you’re comfortable, and psychologically or subconsciously all these things add up.

You walk out onto a pitch you’ve played on and you know where people are sitting and all those things added together give you that slight advantage.

But as long as they get a volume of support behind them – and Tottenham fans generally make for a good atmosphere – Tottenham could do quite well.

I take a view that the crowd overwhelmingly packed with Spurs fans will more than compensate for unfamiliar surroundings.

80,000 Spurs fans could potentially turn Wembley into a bear pit for visiting teams.

My issue with us playing it Wembley is straightforward.

We haven’t earned the right to play there.

Since the rebuild, Wembley has been a happy hooker, welcoming the advances of anyone, including semi-finalists…

Anyone who needs ‘why paying a woman to have sex with them isn’t vaguely comparable with a woman wanting to have sex with you’ explaining them, needs the kind of help I can’t provide.
