“Just not good enough” – Jamie O’Hara slams summer signing for his poor performance against Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur couldn’t carry on their winning momentum in the Premier League, suffering a major upset, losing 3-0 to Fulham.

Spurs struggled to establish themselves at the start of both halves, leading to punishment at Craven Cottage.

Former midfielder Jamie O’Hara didn’t hold back, criticising the club’s summer signing Brennan Johnson for his below-par performance.

Johnson, who has recently been in outstanding form with three goals and four assists in his last 10 league appearances, had an utterly forgettable outing.

Speaking on talkSPORT, O’Hara slammed the 22-year-old, stating that he wasn’t up to par in the match against Fulham.

The pundit pointed out that the winger missing too many chances was unacceptable, specially in such a crucial game within the context of the top-four race.

He said:

“We’ve got to be better. We can’t go batter Aston Villa like we’ve done, put in a performance, best performance of the season, and then, be like, right that’s it, we’re going to go for the top-four. That’s a massive game against Fulham. I know we’re talking about the coefficient points, we might get fifth, and you might only have to finish fifth to get into the Champions League. But it’s not guaranteed.

“Six points behind, Manchester United, they’re still in the hunt, they’re still in the race. So you have to get these results, you have to go there and make it tough. And we were miles off it. Some players just not good enough, Brennan Johnson, not good enough today, just giving away too many chances.”

Tottenham must improve their performance in this crucial phase of the season, or risk losing out on the Champions League spot.
