NICE TRY BOYS
Paul Jiggins and Neil Ashton have hatched this curate’s egg between them.
I hope The Sun have provided the appropriate midwifery assistance to accommodate this deadly duo, at what must be a difficult time.
There is no last ditch attempt to land Pochettino by Real Madrid taking place.
CUT N’ SHUNT
Indeed, hanging upon this concocted tale of Poch being close to a Real Madrid move is just as daft as clinging onto the hope that somehow Spurs will right the stupid stupid stupid wrongs of the summer transfer window – in January.
Yes, it is true that Mauricio Pochettino is deeply unhappy with how he has been left to mend and make do for the 2018/19 season.
It beggars belief that Spurs were the only club across Europe’s top 5 leagues not to spend in the summer.
PRESSURE COOKER
The inability to sign even one player in the summer has pressured the entire squad.
Notably muscle injuries have plagued Spurs. Danny Rose, Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen have all currently side-lined, although there have been as many as 8 players out on occasion this season.
DISILLUSIONED
Pochettino fears that he is becoming cut adrift from the project which now appears to be more about the propulsion of the THFC brand, than it does about the actual football team.
Contract renewals for key players feel like they have been mothballed. In 2019, deals for Mousa Dembele, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghemn all run out. Christian Eriksen’s £75,000 a week contract expires in 2020.
INEVITABLE?
It is highly unlikely that Poch has a long term future at Spurs.
Because nobody under Daniel Levy ever has.
Stratford dead like fried chicken! Yep crackney has changed. New money has come in and changed up the vibes. Nice place to eat and drink. Lovely architecture in hackney. Tottenham is a great place to invest cot its a great place.:<)
What do they say that power is an afrodiziac?
You’ll get a super injunction against you
It’s not rotten Tappa I agree, in fact it’s going to go the way of Hackney which was rotten 20 years ago, much worse than Tottenham for bad stuff. Not saying the gentrification is all a good thing, not at all.
Fact is, Tottenham is a much better place to invest than Stratford because it is connected to London. Stratford is basically a non decrepit inner London suburb that was forgotten. They built some Olympic stuff, who cares?
*levy= c a n t
They’ve only signed in order to further underwrite the extended debt mate.
This is a good deal for them and a mediocre one for ‘us’.
I’m so glad you dropped the sir. Innocent till proven guilty I suppose though) Most rich powerful people have awful things to hide. I wonder whos next
Bow down to your new Chinese overlords in 18 months time….
This year’s NFL Wembley games conclude on Sunday when Super Bowl 52
champions the Philadelphia Eagles face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
*wretched
Yes. Its been like watching a slow motion car crash and screaming with no sound coming out. Its never been about football for ENIC.
“Rotten borough” as I’ve said before. Muswell hill. crouch end. Highgate. stroud green. rotten? Tottenham is wonderful too don’t care what anyone says. Haringey is a fantastic borough. Sorry but ill always stick up for her, cant hear a bad word said about her without responding. Its funny how people slag off Haringey but cant afford to live here. Also its the home of the MIGHTY THFTeam 🙂 £630m spread over 20 years? Or ten? £2mil a week is peanuts.
A lot of fans won’t complain and that’s what levy is betting on,
If the said a delay was ok before some lack the evolution to change an opinion
Indeed. Its a retchid mess.
Yes, its been difficult trying to make a lot of Spurs supporters realise. Now they know.
Sadly very true, they are real scum bags and there is sod all any of us can do apart from not turn up and actually support the players and manager who have feck all to do with the above…
“tune in to next week’s episode” 👀
Is it a fixed price all the way up? If yes £30mii a year wont be a lot in 15 years time
We could always ask Robert Maxwell for another loan…. oh wait he’s gone but I’m sure Phillip green could step in
Attendance: 84,301
20 years? Is that just over a million a week? My maths is worse than my grammar!
That surprises me
I agree. His whole method of doing things is beneath contempt. Everything is based on hopes and prayers not actually going out and working hard to achieve anything. We are miles behind where we were, and if only for one poxy summer they did show ambition, the ground fiasco would have been marginally more bearable. Scum
Longest deal in Nike’s history.
He’s got more front than Buckingham Palace.
And there was levy celebrating how long he got the contract for, it’s the nfl add-ons that will count
its the football that will suffer, they have spent none of their own money on building the property, just the profit from TV money and Poch’s success in the CL…is there a long term END GAME to be a successful football team, or are they really rinsing us for everything they can 🤔
Anyone who thought the stadium would be ready this year deserves to have been “mugged off” I worked on the project. I knew it wouldn’t be ready. (I’m sure I told HH that once.
Howmuch we spend depends how much the Chinese pay for dembele
Gawd how ungrateful we all are that levy let’s us spend what we make on transfers
Hehe it won’t be us. His heart isn’t in it.
I think everyone knows the short version
“As chairman i have completely messed this up but rather than show some leadership I will keep sticking my head in the sand and show my utter contempt at the fan base by stringing you all along and hope Poch can keep getting points on the board as that will keep the great unwashed quiet”
Conte hotly tipped for the RM job!
Its 2. They’ve annhailated this club.
*£630m
Bullshit
Would new signings have been less likely to get injured? – granted Dembele has a history of injury and Rose has had a few issues but the others are fairly resilient.
No mention of a football team. Weeeeell, the shops open…..that’s the main thing. He should av told everybody we had a 2nd season at Wembley in the summer. It was always going to be so.
A full house I believe, over 80,000 +

Easty this informative BBC profile concurs with your sentiments about his interpersonal skills!
And they even reiterated the ‘largest club shop in Europe’ line again. Pathetic.
Seven days before sale date of each individual match, not tomorrow even though we know it’s Wembley today.
Lucky levy know actual fans are a priority
Dear Mugs,
We are probably not going out of business.
Yours sincerely,

Thst or ed woodward
I’m only stunned Nike haven’t signed up for 50 years at the Rate he’s had to agree to.
* levy. C a n t
Expect “The money was there but the players to improve us weren’t. Its difficult bla bla bla.
Perhaps, depends which club he’s at.
*Response to Gascoigne at 8.38 pm
Levy would have bought 27 No’Cluedos or whatever Dilly. Thanks to out elite scouting network of duffers who previously were sacked from appointments at such luminary sides as Derby County.
AD?!
The stadium et al isn’t worth what is still owed on it. It has no cache. No provenance that boosts the value.
‘How much is that old DuPont lighter?’
‘5 grand’
‘Get lost, they are £100 second hand’
‘This one is was given to JFK by Marilyn Monroe’
‘Ah’
Daniel ‘safe pair of hands’ Levy is like the bloke in the bookies chasing lost money.
He’s sunk everything into real estate in and around a rotten borough. Not just what was in the bank but the next 20 years’ worth of collateral.
He’s actually managed to outdo even my grim forecast here. It’s all quite surreal.
He’s got a point actually.
However, I have heard it from people that have worked under Green that he is in fact a deeply unpleasant and bullying lady garden. Basically the allegations are true, the man is a grade1 bar steward.
Likes stealing pensions too…
Quite a statement from a leading figure of attempts to undermine a democratic vote…
It’s now apparent the ST money sales have been a cynical disgrace
The club have taken the decision to play at Wembley till December 29th,the premier league may make the decision to play the remainder of the season there ?
And yet their is a likely transfer kitty at Poch’s disposal in January 2019?
Well this ‘best start since 1066’ cobblers ends on Monday. I can’t believe our fans even spouting this nonsense. It’s how you finish a season – not how you look mathematically after 8 bloody games. Cretinous doesn’t describe it.
The THST response will be fascinating because the ST holders have been ridden like a rented mule over this.
Yes just think if the handsome billion had been in invested in marquee signings instead of “facilities”?
He might be a Gooner lady garden but least Ramsey isn’t pond life like Sol Campbell, besides, he’ll want wages that Levy wouldn’t pay anyhow…
15 years of Barca recycled training kits
Seemingly in a false position in the PL, you mean the one that it is likely men against boys to be mullered by Citeh on Monday eve?!
Brainwashing, Chinese mastered it in the 50s
Quite the news drop.
— So, the size of the bank loan isn’t actually £500m .. it’s £637m.
–The club’s been locked into a FIFTEEN-year kit deal with nike.
— A handsome billion was found to invest in “facilities”(?)
— And the stadium’s official opening date has been nailed down to….”2019.”
As ever, many more questions than answers.
Notice in that financial statements list of ‘investments’ there was nothing about football players. Do they know there’s a football team to run?
Anyone who has actually read that lot needs to go and seek help…
What I want to know is who the fuck is sending them messages of encouragement??? Letter bombs , yes…H’s full nappys….yes…encouragement? No.nonononono.
Nike – “just sign it” no one does a deal that long..I smell something adrift 🤔
Not once is the word trophy mentioned in that piece. Not once. Tottenham Hotspur Real Estate Club
the good news (kinda) is that I will end up with my money back…
Nike until 2033.ill never see another Adidas shirt 😓
There’s only 2 possible scenarios for me. One is he is so totally inept he walked over his poxy bridge every day, looked and said oh yeah this will be ready in a few weeks. The second is he fraudulently took money from season ticket holders knowing fine well it was nowhere near ready. Sorry but either way is not acceptable in the running of our club. I don’t give a toss about nfl, flats, hotels or anything else. I want to see a club that was on the verge of doing something good, with a bit of investment, move forward on a level with Liverpool who were at a similar stage to us. Instead all the cabbages that wanted to make sure we didn’t do a Leeds and not spend money may well rue that pathetic attitude, because with a debt like ours now, our star players and probs manager as well disappearing, probably no champs league football to assist in the costs etc that ground is rapidly becoming a giant millstone around out neck. All this aside from the fact every other set of fans is laughing at us and the club has been swallowed whole by the enic machine and we don’t even have our own identity any more. Total utter shambles and it lies at 1 rats feet
The care that has gone in to crafting that email is Pulitzer Prize worthy.
He has his excuse lined up for January.
As well as the only team in Europe’s top 5 divisions not to sign somebody fact you have to add the only team in Premier League transfer window history not to sign anyone too…..just as a nice side piece to really highlight the groundbreaking lunacy.
‘Trading impacted…’ What, more than the summer’s trading? Then that means we only sell and sell big. Eriksen, Alderweireld, Kane?
“The Club’s investment over recent years in facilities has resulted in total gross tangible assets at 30 June, 2018, in excess of £1bn “
63mil in debt? To be paid over how long?
I don’t know who but there must be a seasoned winner leader out there (about 30ish) available on a free. Just to add something to the camp. I heard the squad made it very clear to poch not to bring anyone in during the last window. I cant see poch being told that. (Lies) poch only listens to those who pay him I reckon
I can’t see past two possible scenarios. One is that poch was complicit in the debacle that others refer to as the transfer window. On body language alone I would say that wasn’t the case. The other is that vermin lied to him. History tends to repeat and I don’t care what anyone says the rat has done it time and again. Now for all the people saying he should just walk, would you walk? Would you wait for the pay off that the lies deserve. No brainer. Same with kane. The problem herr flick in his infinite stupidity didn’t consider was others may actually have a go at winning and not stand still, in effect moving backwards. So we will see poch go at some point, I think it’s a bad move myself although I take the points others have made, but if we are gonna get rid of people for making mistakes then how come that rat still has a job?? The smart move would have been to invest in 2 top players this summer, wherever they saw fit, for me a striker and pace up front, and 1 or 2 to bolster other areas. But we couldn’t do that cos we’d do a Leeds. We’ll from where I’m sitting we are a sight closer to doing a Leeds now than we ever were as we’re going to lose the people we don’t want to, keep the crap, because they were brought in as part of a spread betting enterprise, buy 5 for 5m and hope one becomes a 50m player. That’s the reality of the business plan in place. Stick your fancy shop. Stick your fancy ground. Rebuild whl and give us a team the fans deserve you vermin😠😠😠
At least we ain’t done a Leeds……we’ve done a Leeds ROYALE.

The cheese room will never open.
How long can people pay for top shelf but continue to be served swill?
Do I think Poch to Real…no, Poch to United however… I do worry that Poch may cut himself a drift of the jobs he wants and spirals us as he realises.
And to think Levy announced test events for AUGUST?!
Liar. Filthy snake.
emails below if interested….so 630 odd million in debt and still no confirmed date for 2019….
Club Statement – New Stadium and Financial Update
Dear Season Ticket Holder,
Since we last provided an update on the progress of the new stadium on 3 September, 2018, we have been working hard with the contractors involved in the critical safety systems.
Key contractors involved in the mechanical, electrical and safety systems are being supported with external resources and closely monitored by our construction manager, Mace.
Chairman Daniel Levy said: “There isn’t an hour that goes by when I am not asked when we will be able to stage our first game at our new home.
“I wish I was able to confirm an exact opening date and fixture. However, in light of factors completely outside of our control, contractors missing deadlines and possible future unforeseen issues, we are naturally being cautious in respect of our timetable for our test events and official opening game.
“Whilst we are conscious of the need to keep pressure on our contractors to deliver as soon as possible, we are also acutely aware of how difficult the lack of clarity is for you, our supporters, to plan around games, particularly those at Christmas and New Year.
“In light of the above, and taking into account the restricted availability of manpower over the festive period, we have taken the decision to confirm today that all home games will be played at Wembley Stadium up to and including the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 29 December.
“We know the continued delay is a source of immense disappointment to everyone and I can only continue to apologise for this – it is a sentiment felt by all of us.
“We have not stood still whilst work on the critical safety systems has been happening and we have sought to use the time to bring forward future works.
“Our investment has been supported by over £100m investment in transport infrastructure which will see the stadium and the local area served by one of the best public transport networks in the country – facilitating the creation of a new sport, leisure and entertainment destination in London.
“The delay in the stadium opening has made it possible for some track and station improvements to be brought forward due to the fact that previously non-available construction dates have become available for works.
“We have no doubt when open that this stadium will be one of the finest in the world – a leading example of British research and development delivering engineering and technological firsts that will be showcased globally.
“I hope that the end result will be something that will make you proud.
“We shall look to update you again in early December.”
The Club will also be engaging with Wembley National Stadium Ltd and Brent Council regarding attendance capacities at Wembley Stadium for the forthcoming games.
FINANCIAL UPDATE
The Club continues to operate on a sensible financial basis in order to take a long-term view for the benefit of current as well as future generations of Tottenham Hotspur fans.
The Club’s investment over recent years in facilities has resulted in total gross tangible assets at 30 June, 2018, in excess of £1bn – facilities which include the Training Centre, the new Players’ Lodge, Percy House, home of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Lilywhite House Club offices, new retail warehouse, new Paxton House Ticket Office and now the new stadium along with the newly-opened Spurs Shop – the largest football club store in Europe – plus other property assets.
These investments have been financed by funds from the Club and bank finance, principally from Bank of America Merrill Lynch International, Goldman Sachs Bank USA and HSBC Bank plc (“Banking Partners”) who have provided a development facility of up to £637m. At 30 June, 2018, the Club had net debt of £366m.
This level of investment by the Club has been made possible by record revenues of £381m and profit from operations before football trading, depreciation, interest, tax and exceptional items of £163m for the year to 30 June, 2018. Trading for the current year will, however, be impacted by the additional costs of Wembley and the delay to the opening of the new stadium.
Working with our Banking Partners and our financial advisor, Rothschild & Co, we shall be converting this development facility, which currently expires in April 2022, into notes with a mixture of debt maturities.
The residual amount of gross debt to be converted or extinguished will depend on a number of factors including several commercial discussions.
In recent months we have secured an extended agreement with Nike up to 2033, one of the longest football club deals in Nike’s history. We have also announced a number of new brand partners including, amongst several others, Audi, IWC Schaffhausen, HPE and EA SPORTS.
LOOKING FORWARD
Chairman Daniel Levy said: “Our current position in the Premier League, a record start for the Club, is testament to the professionalism and positive approach of Mauricio, his staff and the players. They have made no excuses, focused on their games and made us all proud of this exceptional attitude.
“We also wish to express our gratitude to all the staff at the Club in going over and above to successfully oversee operations at three different venues this season.
“Additionally, we should like to thank our partners, our colleagues at the Premier League, our fellow Premier League clubs, the FA and also Wembley and Brent for hosting us.
“We are experiencing frustrating times – however every now and then someone reminds us of just what we have undertaken and achieved to date – and what this stadium will be like for generations to come – and that keeps us going. Thank you to all who have sent messages of encouragement. It is much appreciated by those involved in this challenging project.
“This is a stadium for another century and a few months’ delay will hopefully soon be forgotten when we proudly return home. Your continued patience, understanding and, above all, support for the First Team is invaluable.
“None of what we have achieved and are looking to achieve would be possible without you, our fans, and your immense loyalty. Thank you.”
How big was the crowd at the last NFL game in London?
Think the fans are waking up, according to Guardian there are a lot of unsold tickets for Citeh game. I keep saying this, unlike Woolwich fans who gave Wenger a fool’s pardon for the goodwill he had banked, there is no good will for Mr Levy, things will turn nasty very quickly if the team stops performing.
Can only be described as a total Farce and they said Levy runs a tight ship, who Project Managed the build ? What Financial Penalties are due for missing completetion dates ?
It amazes me the FA have not sanctioned THFC due to non compliance of FA rules.
No doubt there will be many teething problems when the Stadium does host it’s first real game, access and transport most likely.
Thank God the team are playing out of their skin and we’re off to the best start ever in the Premier League Era !
Despite the club confirming there will be no games at the new stadium until at least the new year, season ticket holders will not be “refunded” until 7 days before each cancelled match. To have that refund paid to a bank account the club have reintroduced the inconvenience of recompleting the same form which they did for the previous refund.
This is no better than a ponzy scheme. If the matches are cancelled, why can’t a full refund be processed now? By sitting on the supporter’s money (or interest free loan) the club is making considerable profit from the interest gained. It’s also to the club’s benefit to withhold announcing further cancellations into the new year for this reason.
If anyone needed further evidence of the club’s priorities this is it. It is not about delivering “the ultimate fan experience”, it is about maximising profit regardless of the moral cost.
Furthermore, In his latest announcement, Levy has antipated the fallout of the inevitable announcement of record profits (note he says this is pre tax, transfers and before the duffle bag is filled) vs the lack of player investment by claiming it is necessary to secure the loans that will deliver a bright long term future.
Since the start of the ENIC reign, Levy has consistently promised gold at the end of the rainbow. The problem for me is it doesn’t exist. The evidence above demonstrates that any bright long term future will only be for those running the club with the duffle bag increasing in mass year on year. Manipulating the supporters with spin/half truths/lies is an instrument that they will always use to achieve that.
Digressing, interesting conflict between Parliament and the Judiciary where
naming Sir Philip Green as the man who prevented a newspaper publishing allegations of sexual and racial harassment was “arrogant”, former Attorney General Dominic Grieve says. Mr Grieve told the BBC that Lord Hain undermined the rule of law and “abused” his parliamentary privilege.Mr Grieve told BBC Radio 4’s World at One: “We can’t operate a democratic free society when Peers or MPs decide to take the law into their own hands.” The legal process has been turned into “what looks like a political witch hunt”, he added.
(BBC News)
Can’t see Pochettino leaving for any Job bar Man Utd and that will only happen when Eriksen decides enough is enough and forces a move to a Club capable of Winning the Champions League, Our best players will not continue to be nearly men, who would be content to look back on a career of almost making the semi finals or Top 4, Modric, Bale and more recently Walker have shown what can be achieved before it’s too late, no point in regrets at the end of a Career, i’ve Had a few, but then again too few to mention.
If as I suspect Mourinho is moved on at the end of this Season, Pochettino is without doubt the next Man Utd Manager, I would love to be proved wrong but the writing is on the wall.
IT’S OFFICIAL:
Tottenham will continue playing games at Wembley until the end of this year.
Their new 62,000-seat arena was supposed to open on 15 September but safety concerns led to a delay.
Chairman Daniel Levy said: “In light of factors completely outside of our control, contractors missing deadlines and possible future unforeseen issues, we are naturally being cautious.
All home games will be played at Wembley Stadium up to and including the game against Wolves on 29 December.”
(BBC Sport)
The irony is that Abramovich did exactly that and is asking for Chelsea the same £2bn that Spurs are asking for, without having won anything.
Horses for courses.
If property development is what you know, why try and give lessons in astrophysics?
Interesting that there’s rather muted response on forums tonight.
Maybe Levy needs to turn up the angst some more and hire Sir Phillip Green’s publicist before fans wake up.
“-profit from operations before football trading, depreciation, interest, tax and exceptional items of £163m for the year to 30 June, 2018-”
I take it “exceptional items” = duffle bag.
Don’t forget that 630m is the debt and doesn’t include interest payments…its like a small countries GDP ffs!
The Sun are reporting that Spurs are linked to 21 yr old forward Malcolm who is struggling for a place in the Barcelona team. They are also reporting that Aaron
Ramsey, 27, is resigned to leaving Arsenal but has ruled out a move to rivals Tottenham.
Quite a statement from a leading figure of attempts to undermine a democratic vote…
