Fantastic Touch From Lidl

By The Boy -

Bury boy Kieran Trippier had a great World Cup.

His home town has responded warmly to the lad’s exploits and not only has the 27 year old had the Freedom Of Bury bestowed upon him, but a slightly more humorous and perhaps more practical honour.

Christian Härtnagel, the CEO of Lidl UK said: “We’re delighted to be able to show our appreciation to Gareth and the incredible England team by celebrating in their local Lidl. As the official supermarket of the England Football Team we have been supporting the players for a number of years and, along with many others, feel very proud of what they’ve achieved.”

The Lidl in Victoria Street has given Kieran his own parking space.

Stuff like this is great to see, sure it’s all good publicity for the store’s brand, but Lidl are a popular company.

People like Lidl and this will only reinforce the existing goodwill.

Quite how long this masterpiece will remain before being cruelly vandalised by someone who doesn’t support Spurs is anyone’s guess.
