Conte To Take Another Wizz On Levy’s Supermarket Own Brand Cornflakes?

By The Boy -

Another day down at the minefield.

Hot on the heels of Poch allegedly being unaware of Levy’s one way austerity measures, we now have the suggestion that the Chelsea are going to swoop for two Tottenham targets.

The Standard say that Antonio Conte is seeking to sign Everton’s Ross Barkley and Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Obviously the transfer window has yet to run it’s course, but if, IF Spurs fans are left looking back at this window and wondering how they went from lusting after Lemar to glaring at Georges-Kévin Nkoudou the mood could become fraught.

Interestingly enough the Standard piece highlights that… ‘significantly Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo appears to be on good terms with Barkley’.

This would be the seemingly umpteenth time that CFC have stuck their beak into our business, and done so in a manner that always seems to make football transfers look effortless.

Not only do Chelsea have a status, and the willing ness to pay market rate wages, they too have a new stadium on the horizon. This expansion is thought to be funded by a bank loan. Something else to make Spurs fans with with anger – as it doesn’t fit with the idiotic ‘oil money’ narrative.

There will be those of you out there keen to tell me that you wouldn’t want Barkley or the Ox anyway. Perhaps pop back at Christmas and tell me that.
