Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on signing the Sunderland winger Tom Watson.

The 18-year-old could prove to be an interesting long-term acquisition for Tottenham, and it will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with the Black Cats. According to TBR Football, Crystal Palace and Brighton are keen on signing the player as well.

Brighton have already had an offer of around £2 million rejected for the player. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an improved offer to sign the player.

Watson could be attracted to the idea of moving to the Premier League, but Sunderland are unwilling to sell him. They are hoping to agree on a new deal with the player. It remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old is prepared to commit his long-term future to the club, especially with the top English clubs keen on him. His current contract with Sunderland expires in 2026.

Tottenham need more depth in the wide areas and the 18-year-old could be a useful acquisition. He will add pace, flair and unpredictability to their attack. They have been linked with multiple attackers recently.

Tottenham have a proven track record when it comes to grooming young players and they could help Watson fulfil his tremendous potential. The opportunity to play in the top flight can be hard to turn down for most players as well.

Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to get the deal across the line, and it remains to be seen if they submit an offer for Watson before the January window closes. The report states that signing the player this month and loaning him back to Sunderland could be a potential solution as the Black Cats prepare to fend off interest in their prized prospect.
