Tottenham Hotspur boasts some of the most skilled players in their squad, including Son Heung-min and Richarlison, who are known for their trickery with the ball.
Recently, Pedro Porro, a talented player in his own right, shared his thoughts on the most skilful players within the team.
During an interview for the matchday programme, the Spaniard was asked to identify the standout players among his teammates.
While Porro humorously considered himself as the most talented, he ultimately highlighted three midfielders for their exceptional skills.
As quoted by the official Tottenham website, the 24-year-old defender said:
“Me, of course! No, I’m just joking! I think it is very difficult to pick just one player because many of the squad are very skilful.
“The best are probably James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, and Giovani Lo Celso.”
This recognition from Porro, given his calibre, shows the high regard these players hold among their peers.
Porro has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top full-backs since his arrival, featuring prominently under manager Ange Postecoglou.
He started in 92% of the league games, contributing three goals and seven assists in 35 appearances last season.
Despite his excellent performances, Porro was surprisingly left out of the Spanish national team for the Euros, a decision that left many astonished.
The acknowledgement of Maddison, Bissouma, and Lo Celso as the most skilful players highlights the depth of talent within Tottenham’s ranks, even over notable figures like Son who consistently display remarkable skill on the field.
With such quality players at his disposal, Ange Postecoglou would hope to succeed in his pursuit of the Premier League title next season.
