Tottenham Hotspur have secured the future of one of their most promising young talents, with Callum Olusesi signing a long-term contract and turning down interest from German powerhouse Bayern Munich.
According to Football Insider, the 18-year-old midfielder, regarded as one of the brightest talents in Spurs’ academy, was being monitored by several top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Ajax.
However, rather than making a move abroad, Olusesi has chosen to continue his development in North London, securing a new deal that places him among the highest earners in Tottenham’s academy ranks.
Olusesi has consistently impressed at the youth level, gaining a reputation for his technical ability and attacking contributions.
A product of Tottenham’s academy, he showcased his talent early, excelling at the Under-18 level while still a schoolboy.
His standout performances were instrumental in Spurs’ U17 and U18 Premier League Cup victories, highlighting his ability to perform under pressure.
In May 2023, Olusesi signed on as a first-year scholar before officially turning professional on his 17th birthday, committing to a contract that initially ran until 2026.
His rapid development saw him earn a place in the senior squad this season, culminating in his first-team debut as a substitute in a UEFA Europa League match against Hoffenheim in January this year.
This campaign, Olusesi has featured 14 times across all competitions, scoring five goals—a remarkable return for a young midfielder.
