Tottenham Hotspur’s negotiations with West Ham United over the sale of winger Manor Solomon have hit a temporary standstill following a disagreement over transfer structure and promotion-related bonuses.
Stumbling block over promotion add-ons
According to David Ornstein, West Ham are aiming to pay an initial fee of around £5m for the 27-year-old. However, the East London club are currently refusing to agree to Tottenham’s demand for additional bonus payments should West Ham secure an immediate promotion back to the Premier League.
Spurs hold a valuation of roughly £20m on the winger, who originally arrived on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023. Having managed just five Premier League appearances for Tottenham alongside loan spells at Leeds United, Villarreal, and Fiorentina, Solomon has not established himself as a regular in the first-team picture in North London.
Squad reshaping and next steps
The player’s representative, Shlomi Ben Ezra, said Solomon is not expected to be a regular starter at Tottenham in the near future and indicated that the player’s camp is looking for a club where he can play regularly.
West Ham have been searching for left-sided attacking depth after Crysencio Summerville’s departure to Al Hilal. Fiorentina remain interested in bringing Solomon back to Serie A and are currently below Tottenham’s valuation, while Hull City have also been credited with interest, according to The72.
Solomon is among the players who could leave Tottenham as the club reshapes its squad. Talks with West Ham remain unresolved over the financial terms of a potential deal.
