Manager has told Tottenham he wants to replace Conte but Paratici doesn’t want him

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for their former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Antonio Conte has not signed a new contract with the club and his current deal expires at the end of the season.

Tottenham have the option to trigger a one-year extension in his contract but the manager has been linked with the return to Italy.

If Antonio Conte decides to move on, they will have to bring in a quality replacement and Pochettino is reportedly keen on a return.

According to talkSPORT, the 51-year-old Argentine would love to return to the London club and he has already made it clear to the club hierarchy that he would b open to replacing Antonio Conte.

However, a report from the Athletic has recently revealed that club director Fabio Paratici is not keen on bringing the Argentine back to the club.

It remains to be seen how the situation evolves over the next few months.

Pochettino did an impressive job at Tottenham and helped them challenge for the Premier League title and the Champions League trophy during his time at the club.

He shares a strong relationship with Daniel Levy and Tottenham fans admire him as well. A return to Tottenham could be ideal for all parties.

The London club have been linked with several other managers but it remains to be seen whether they can attract their preferred targets.

Pochettino did an admirable job on a shoestring budget at Tottenham previously and he could be the ideal fit for them once again.
