Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
As per reports, the midfielder is on the radar of West Ham United as well.
Southampton are currently fighting for their place in the Premier League next season and they are in real danger of going down to the Championship. If they are relegated, they are likely to lose quality players like Ward-Prowse who will want to stay in the Premier League.
Tottenham are looking to add creativity to their side and the 28-year-old would be a superb acquisition.
Apparently, Tottenham star Harry Kane is keen for the club to sign the midfielder and the news will come as a major blow to West Ham. The Hammers are unlikely to be able to compete with Tottenham in the transfer chase and Ward-Prowse is likely to prefer a move to Spurs.
Furthermore, England captain Harry Kane could play a key role in influencing the decision of the 28-year-old midfielder as well.
Ward-Prowse has been a reliable Premier League midfielder for years and he could prove to be a superb acquisition for Tottenham. He is at the peak of his career and he could help Tottenham improve in the final third.

As for West Ham, they need to sign a quality central midfielder as well but they are currently fighting relegation and they are unlikely to be an attractive destination for players like Ward-Prowse.
