Tottenham Hotspur remains eager to secure Leeds United’s rising star, Archie Gray, despite reports of an existing agreement with Brentford.
According to journalists Ben Jacobs, although Brentford appears to have struck a nearly £40 million deal for Gray, including add-ons, Spurs could still disrupt this move.
🚨 More on Archie Gray.
Total package agreed with Brentford with add-ons is around £40m. An excellent deal if it gets over the line. Kalvin Phillips didn't leave Leeds for much more.
❗️Not totally done yet with Brentford despite a scheduled medical. Could be a hijack.… pic.twitter.com/zECvhyc90q

And BBC man Adam Pope has also reiterated the same, claiming Gray’s move to Brentford is not a done deal yet and Spurs can still hijack the move.
It seems a case of when not if now before Archie Gray becomes a Premier League player. Medical due at Brentford in what could be a deal near £40m I’m told plus add ons. But interest in him is intense so with Spurs etc still hovering nothing finalised yet. #LUFC

Gray, an 18-year-old standout, has been exceptional for Leeds, showcasing his versatility by excelling as both a right-back and a central midfielder.
Last season, he was a regular feature in the Championship under Daniel Farke, making 52 appearances across all competitions.
His versatility has made him a significant asset, earning him the EFL Championship Young Player of the Season award.
Gray’s performances have caught the eye of Tottenham and other Premier League giants such as Aston Villa, Liverpool, West Ham, and Chelsea, highlighting the intense interest from top-tier clubs.
His form has also been recognised internationally, with appearances for England at various youth levels, including the Under-21s, underscoring his potential and ability to perform on bigger stages.
Despite being under contract with Leeds until June 2028, Tottenham are determined to bring Gray to North London.
The Lilywhites’ interest in Gray aligns with their strategy to bolster their squad with young talent.
As the transfer window progresses, Spurs will persist in their efforts to secure Gray’s services.
They aim to finalise the deal, bolstering their squad for the upcoming season, despite Brentford’s agreement.
