Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the Athletic Club Bilbao attacker Nico Williams.
The 21-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Spanish club, and he has five goals and 10 assists across all competitions this season. He can operate as a winger as well as a centre-forward. The Spaniard could prove to be a quality acquisition for the north London club in the summer.
Williams has a £43 million release clause in his contract and Dean Jones has revealed on Sportslens that the attacker is a target for multiple Premier League clubs, including Arsenal. Tottenham also have him ‘on their list’ for the summer transfer window.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat their London rivals and secure his services at the end of the season. They need to add more depth and cutting edge in the final third. Williams is a versatile player capable of operating anywhere across the front three and he could prove to be a very useful option for Ange Postecoglou.
The opportunity to showcase his qualities in the Premier League could be a tempting proposition for the attacker as well.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have not been able to rotate players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka due to the lack of options. The arrival of Williams will give Mikel Arteta more options to work with.
Williams has the quality to improve both teams in the final third and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
