Our Most Unreliable Player?

By The Boy -

Spurs are one their way to …the Etihad Stadium this weekend and Erik Lamela has been briefed as to our league position.

“We are second now, we keep moving on in the table so that is good,” The Argentine said.

On a serious note, the recurring message from all the Spurs players is about training, the importance of training, and moral in training is strong.

“We keep winning which is very important for us, but the next one at Manchester City is more important now. I hope we can beat them but we expect a difficult game. Every game is difficult, every game is important, so we need to keep training to give the maximum next week. For me, I feel confident and I am training hard like my team-mates.”

Lamela needs to step up if he wants to make the starting XI for what will be a hugely important game.

The 23 year old has made 17 starts this season, but was substituted on 11 of them.

Does that make him our least reliable player?

“Everyone trains hard to do their best on the pitch and I think this team is a very good team because we have quality and we are all together to fight.”

Lamela might yet be our go to guy against City.

His best game of the season -statistically – so far came against Manchester City where he scored once and created two chances as we beat them 4-1 at The Lane back in September.
