Apologists will be out in force, and citing the fact that the wretched stadium isn’t even built yet.
The truth if the matter is that such a fist was made of the meeting in New York (which has been confirmed to me now by two rock solid sources, one in the UK and another in the USA) that Levy’s master negotiator routine in actual fact only acted as a catalyst for other parties to get involved.
Our purpose built (still yet to be built, despite all the swirl patterns the trucks are making it the ditch) offer was not met with a fanfare, dancing girls and fireworks.
No, to date, we’ve got hoarding up around the ditch with pictures of the players – with speech bubbles next to them – so you can selfie away the remnants of that thing you used to refer to as your self respect.
What would be great, is if Levy was held accountable by someone, anyone. Even if it was just a teensy bit.
Instead we have the a Supporters’ Trust that give sycophancy a bad name.
The idea that our redeveloped stadium would need to be built first os laughable. Why would it?
In case it was mistakenly made of brie and it went all crumbly when we tried to use it, in case it was accidentally assembled upside down and nobody was able to get into it?
