The Bookies’ 5 Most Likely Spurs Summer Signings

The bookies got it right last summer when they predicted Tottenham would sign Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.

So who do leading bookmakers fancy as the five most likely Spurs recruits when the transfer window reopens?

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Jose’s been desperately waiting for the transfer window to open and Spurs fans could be welcoming some huge names in the coming months if the latest odds are anything to go by.”

Raul Jimenez – 7/2: The Wolves striker is one of the favourites to join Spurs and those odds are probably only going to drop after Harry Kane hinted during an Instagram interview with Jamie Redknapp that he could leave.

We haven’t got the oomph to buy Jimenez as a partner for Kane, but I’m happy the Mexican appears to be top of the list of potential replacements.

Thomas Meunier – 7/2: We need at least one new right-back and Daniel Levy loves a bargain, which is why the soon-to-be out of contract PSG defender is well fancied to end up following the well-trodden path to Spurs.

Zeki Celik – 4/1: Another right-back option being tipped is the 23-year-old Turkey international currently playing at Lille. We now have the Joao Sacremento connection of course which explains the fairly short odds.

Willian – 4/1: Jose Mourinho’s former Chelsea favourite has been widely tipped for a reunion with the Special One, and several firms have the 31-year-old winger at 4/1 to end up at Spurs, seven years after he should have.

Kalvin Phillips – 4/1: A defensive midfielder will be among Mourinho’s priorities and Leeds United’s Phillips would appear to be a top target according to another firm. These odds may change if Leeds get promoted.
