There are changes in the Tottenham Hotspur front office as Steve Hitchen has resigned as Tottenham’s director of technical performance.
According to Sky Sports News, Hitchen became uncertain about his position following the appointing of Fabio Paratici as Managing Director of Football last year. Furthermore, the Italian club chief has done away with some of the players Hitchen brought during his tenure.
Players Hitchen brought into the north London club included club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso left on loan on Deadline Day during the January transfer window.
With Paratici and manager Antonio Conte now taking hold of this project at Spurs, Hitchen seems to have taken a step back, becoming more of a public figure. He’s been pictured alongside Paratici at matches this season, supporting the team from the dugout.
Hitchen worked at Tottenham before this recent tenure, being credited with a part in the arrival of Luka Modric in 2008. Sky Sports revealed no further details explaining the decision or what’s next for him.
