Spurs Prepared To Offer 27-Year-Old £200,000 A Week, But It May Not Be Enough

Tottenham are reportedly willing to make Philippe Coutinho the club’s joint-highest player to sign him on loan from Barcelona this summer.

The 27-year-old playmaker has spent this season at Bayern Munich but is expected to be back on the market in the next transfer window after the Bundesliga giants chose not to pursue a permanent deal for him.

The Express claims that we are prepared to go to “great lengths” to secure the former Liverpool midfielder, including putting him alongside Harry Kane at the top of our wage structure by paying him £200,000 per week.

However, that may not be enough to get a deal done as the report adds that Barcelona would want any suitor to pay Coutinho’s full £250,000 salary.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all said to be interested in the Brazilian, so somebody will be lavish enough to go all the way if we don’t.

Make this happen. If you want top players you need to pay top dollar.
