Danny Rose has backed Tanguy Ndombele to come good and eventually fill the void left by Moussa Dembele at Tottenham.
In an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, the long-serving left-back, who has joined Newcastle United on loan for the rest of the season, admitted that Dembele’s departure left the squad feeling ‘disheartened’.

Ndombele is his heir apparent, boasting a similar combination of physical presence and ball-carrying ability which we have only seen in glimpses thus far due to the 23-year-old’s frankly embarrassing fitness levels.
But Rose has encouraged fans to give the summer signing from Lyon time, describing him as “awesome” – and we all know from the ‘Google’ incident that the 29-year-old isn’t easily impressed by new arrivals.
