European giants promise Tottenham star something he hasn’t got under Mourinho

Tottenham faces a tough battle to keep hold of Tanguy Ndombele as the Frenchman continues to be linked with a move away from North London.

He only joined Spurs last summer, but his first season with them hasn’t gone to plan after he fell out with Jose Mourinho.

The Frenchman was overlooked for much of the Premier League restart, and that might be an indication that he doesn’t figure in Mourinho’s plans.

FootMercato claims that Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Barcelona all want the former Lyon man and that the last two sides have already promised him guaranteed playing time.

The midfielder has struggled for game time since Mourinho became the club’s manager and as he looks to be a member of the French team for Euro 2021, he will want to play more football next season.

Spurs have made it clear that he is not for sale, but it will be hard for them to keep a player that wants to leave.

The club will hope that when he returns for pre-season ahead of next season, he will apply himself enough to figure in Mourinho’s plans.

The Lilywhites, meanwhile, are chasing a move for Southampton’s Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and his arrival will bring more competition for a place in the midfield.
