6 Spurs Strikes Shortlisted For Sky Sports Goal Of The Decade [Video]

As we prepare to close down the decade, Sky Sports have shortlised 40 Premier League goals in their attempt to find the best from the last 10 years.

Six Spurs strikes have been included among the 40 – more than any other club – including Son Heung-min’s sensational solo effort from last weekend.

As well as having the most recent goal of the lot, Spurs have the oldest – Danny Rose’s jaw-dropping debut volley against Arsenal from April 2010.

It is little surprise to see Gareth Bale feature twice on the list – for his top-corner volley against Stoke City, and last-gasp winner at West Ham United.

Victor Wanyama’s 25-yard thunderbolt against Liverpool also makes the cut, but, for me, the standout goal from a Spurs’ perspective this decade is this one from Dele Alli, against Crystal Palace in January 2016…

Enjoy the audacity and technique; forgive the background music.

Alli’s piece of brilliance currently ranks 15th in the Sky voting, with Son flying the Spurs flag in sixth. Visit Sky Sports here to give them a vote!
