‘100% a target’: Journalist confirms Tottenham’s interest in ‘undefendable’ Premier League star

According to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor, Tottenham Hotspur have ‘100%’ identified Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore as a ‘target.’

Spurs were interested in him back in January as well but were unable to lure the 26-year-old away from Molineux, as he instead chose to re-join his boyhood club Barcelona on a six-month loan deal.

Tottenham have since then ‘remained interested’ in the speedster, according to The Express, despite having already signed seven players this summer. Traore is set to become a free agent at the end of the season after turning down several contract extension offers last season, and his stance on signing a new contract has not changed.

As a result, it is believed that the winger is now available at a reduced price in this window, with Bruno Lage’s side eager to cash in on the forward if a reasonable offer comes in.

And now Taylor has confirmed that Spurs’ interest is very much real. He told GIVEMESPORT:

“Adama Traore is 100% a target as well. And the fact he’s out of contract next summer means he could be available for literally, we’re talking £10 million, £15 million.”

Traore, who has previously been described as ‘undefendable‘ by Jurgen Klopp would be a versatile option for Conte to work with. The Italian could use him on the wing, as a makeshift striker, or as a wing-back.

Tottenham have lacked depth in the final third in recent seasons, and Conte made it one of his top priorities this summer to address that issue.
