Video: “You’ve got to turn up” – Gary Neville comments on the absence of Harry Kane from training sessions

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane continues to be absent from training as the 28-year-old ponders about his future with the London-based club. Kane has made it clear that he wants UEFA Champions League football this season.

With the England international set on competing at the highest level of competition, pundit Gary Neville believes that Kane and chairman Daniel Levy are on a collision course during an interview with Sky Sports (via The Daily Mail).

Furthermore, Neville understands Kane’s point of view but stated that the striker should be at Tottenham’s training sessions out of respect for his teammates and the club.

“You’ve got to turn up, and you’ve got to do your job. However, I’ve worked with Harry, and I can’t think of a more professional footballer that I’ve ever seen,” Neville said. “He does everything right, so he must be seriously annoyed. Something has happened badly that has made him do that.”

“It still doesn’t excuse it for me. He should still have come into training, and you respect your teammates. You still have to go and stand with them and sit in the dressing-room, but it’s clear now that there’s a collision course.”
