Tottenham target set to leave his club after they identify a replacement

Tottenham has been handed a boost in their bid to land Atalanta’s Timothy Castagne after the Italians identified a replacement for the Belgian.

The right-back has been marked as a possible replacement for the error-prone Serge Aurier, who is being targeted by AC Milan.

Castagne has been one of the most important members of the Atalanta side that reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Italians play one of the most exciting football to watch and every member of their team makes a telling contribution to their overall success.

Just like most of his teammates, he is being targeted by some of Europe’s top sides and he is a serious transfer target for Tottenham.

He is rated at £18million, according to Football London and he might be on the move to Spurs this summer because the Italians have already started planning for life after him.

The report claims that they have lined up Standard Liege full-back Mergim Vojvoda as his replacement.

The Italians will pay £5 million and he has confirmed that there has been contact between his team and Atalanta.

“Atalanta representatives have come to Belgium two or three times to see me,” Vojvoda told Gazeta Ole, per Football Italia. “I agreed terms with them and I now expect the two clubs to work out the details together. We’ll know after their meeting on Monday.

“There are another three clubs interested in me too, but so far Atalanta are definitely the best prospect.”

This is definitely a boost for Spurs, however, everything will hinge on whether Aurier is sold and that will come down to Daniel Levy and how much he will accept for the Ivorian.
