Tottenham players “dead” after Antonio Conte training sessions

Tottenham players are reportedly feeling the strain after being put through Antonio Conte’s famously intensive training sessions.

The Italian tactician recently replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as Spurs manager, and he’ll no doubt have a tough job ahead of him after the poor start to the season made by the north Londoners.

Conte has previously had entirely world class squads and big transfer budgets to work with at clubs like Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan, but he’s bound to find life at Tottenham a bit more of a challenge.

Still, he also seems to be doing his best to try to get these players up a level by exhausting his squad with his training methods, with The Athletic describing the players as feeling “dead” afterwards.

It will be interesting to see how well these methods go down with the club’s players, but it sounds like the best way Conte could start life in his new job.

It’s been difficult watching Spurs so far this season, but improving the players’ fitness and work rate could get the team on the right path to solving their issues.
