Top six is not for everyone but it is for Tottenham – Europa League has been confirmed

It was a performance that we have come to expect from Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham but it is the end result that matters and Tottenham are confirmed in sixth position and in next seasons Europa League.

It is easy for me to write how poor and dire the performance was but there is no point, in fact, I could just write a template out for how Spurs played and bring it out most weeks, however, that is missing the point.

Mourinho gets results and when he woke up this morning all he would have been interested in was securing a Europa League spot and he will go to bed this evening with a smile on his face knowing he has achieved exactly that.

It would have been horrible waiting for the FA Cup final and hoping Chelsea win and you just know Arsenal would have won the damn thing and knocked us out but they will not have that opportunity now.

It has been a horrid season, there is no glossing over that but we have finished as a top six team and will be in Europe and all things considered, that is satisfactory.

We will all be demanding better next season but until then, we can sit back knowing we are Kings of North London, in the top six, still, and Coronavirus permitting, touring Europe next season.
