“Stick with him” Richards has his say on Tottenham bringing back Pochettino

Micah Richards has urged Tottenham to stick with Jose Mourinho after suggestions that they should bring back Mauricio Pochettino to the club.

The Lilywhites fired Poch last year after a poor start to the league season.

He had helped them reach the final of the 2019 Champions League, and there was a lot of optimism that the club is finally on the cusp of winning something.

His sacking opened the door for Spurs to bring Mourinho in as they want to start winning trophies.

The Special One has won silverware everywhere he has managed, and Spurs will probably be the next team he leads to glory in some form.

They have started their season well, and they even topped the Premier League at some point.

Their results have been fine, but the football isn’t as great as what the team played under Pochettino.

Now that the lads have hit a rough patch, impatient fans think they would be doing better if they play Poch’s style of football.

But Richards says they should stick with Mourinho.

He was speaking on Monday Night Football broadcasted by BBC Radio Five Live, and he said: “I heard a fan on the radio today say that they want Pochettino back because he played great football, but I think Mourinho – stick with him,

“I think he is doing a really good job. You would like to see him play a little bit more creatively, but you can only play with the players that you have.”
