Spurs Linked With Prolific Bundesliga Striker, But So Are Juventus

Tottenham are reportedly plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland following his stunning breakthrough this season.

The 19-year-old has bagged 40 goals and nine assists in just 33 appearances across spells with RB Salzburg and Dortmund this campaign, as he has shown little sign of his prolific form slowing down.

Spurs were dealt several injury blows prior to the season being suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, with Harry Kane, Heung Min-Son and Steven Bergwijn all picking up injuries.

That left Jose Mourinho short of options in attack, and so the Tottenham boss could be in the market for another striker this summer to bolster his squad.

As reported by the Express, via Tuttomercatoweb, Spurs have now been paired with an interest in Haaland, although they’ll likely face significant competition given the likes of Juventus and Manchester United are specifically mentioned as interested parties too.

As noted by BBC Sport, Mourinho has previously spoken of his desire to have a more balanced squad next season, and that will perhaps include adding more quality depth upfront to give him adequate cover and competition for Kane to help his side compete on multiple fronts.
