Reports: Spurs could make move for €45m rated ‘complete midfielder’; Conte is ‘crazy’ about him

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte is a fan of the Serbia international, according to Calciomercatoweb.it, and with the departures of Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele, there may be room in the engine room for a move of this quality. The report suggests Spurs could offer Lazio €45m plus add-ons rising to €60m for his signature.

Milinkovic-Savic, 27, would be a fitting end to the summer transfer window, adding a much-needed attacking threat to his midfield. Given their interest in Leicester City star James Maddison and AS Roma dynamo Nicolo Zaniolo, it’s no surprise that this is the position which the North London club is looking to address next.

Both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are said to be ‘crazy‘ about Savic and are keen on signing him.

Milinkovic-Savic has 58 goals and 53 assists in 295 appearances for Lazio, including 11 goals and 12 assists in 47 games last season and has been dubbed as the ‘complete midfielder’.

If Spurs sign him, they could very much have their own Kevin De Bruyne in Milinkovic-Savic, who is clearly capable of influencing the attack from midfield which is perhaps the only thing this Spurs team lacks at the moment.
