Report: West Ham Game Make Or Break For Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino could be sacked as Tottenham Hotspur manager if he loses against West Ham United, according to The Telegraph.

Spurs broke for the international fixtures 14th in the Premier League table, 11 points adrift of the top four, with only three wins in 12 games this season and visit their London rivals in their first game back on November 23rd.

Tottenham’s poor form stretches back to the second half of last season, with the club having accumulated 25 points over the course of their last 24 matches, masked by a memorable run to the Champions League final.

Matt Law of The Telegraph understands that Pochettino is reaching “the point of no return” as the hierarchy start to doubt whether he can salvage their campaign, the West Ham game now rated as “make or break”.

We have not won an away game since January and Law adds that defeat at the home of an arch enemy like West Ham could force Daniel Levy to act.

Levy would be reluctant to sack a manager who has done so much for the club and worked under his tight financial restrictions, but concern appears to be growing and no vote of confidence in the Argentine has been issued.

It may depend on the size of the pay-off Poch would receive and what potential replacements are available and interested. More on that later…
