Report – Tottenham respond to Mourinho’s plea for new Son deal

Sun Sports claims that Tottenham is prepared to offer Son Heung-min a new £200,000-a-week deal after Jose Mourinho called for his future to be sorted.

The South Korean has made a blistering start to this season and he is on course to have one of his best goalscoring campaigns to date.

His goals have helped Tottenham remain in the hunt for four trophies and it is important for him to stay motivated.

Mourinho had suggested in his press conference ahead of their match against Burnley that the attacker is happy to play for the club and he expects him to sign a new deal if he is offered one (The Guardian).

The report is now claiming that club is looking to make him one of their top earners alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Gareth Bale.

He will see an increase to his current £150,000-a-week deal that runs out in 2023.

The new contract will tie him down at the club until 2025 at the earliest.

Son’s form has seen him score 8 goals for the club already this season.
