Report: Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs interested in Manchester United ace

Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve their attack to add some support to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici tried to bolster the forward group this summer but couldn’t land one of their targets.

With the January window approaching, Tottenham plans to improve their attack again, and ESPN reports that the north London-based club has an interest in Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard.

The report details that Lingard might ask for a loan move ahead of a permanent transfer when his deal expires next summer. Lingard had a successful loan spell with West Ham United last year, scoring nine goals in 16 games, so any club interested is hoping they can find that player.

Spurs aren’t the only Premier League side expressing interest in the 28-year-old as Newcastle United, West Ham United, and Everton are possible destinations. Meanwhile, abroad, Lingard is linked to FC Barcelona and AC Milan.

Tottenham needs help in the goal-scoring department. Spurs have only scored nine goals through 11 matches; only Norwich City has scored less, so they’ll need to address the issue in the January window.
