Report: Former Spurs manager wants to land Tanguy Ndombélé this January window

Tanguy Ndombélé has failed to solidify himself in the midfield and be the spine of the position, which is probably what Tottenham Hotspur envisioned when they spent €62-million plus up to €10-million in add-ons.

With the January transfer window now open, it’s time to sell off the 25-year-old and recoup some of the money they spent on him. According to Calciomercato, former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with Ndombélé at AS Roma.

The Italian media outlet states that Tottenham values the midfielder at €30-million, which might be too high for Roma. However, the Italian club could look for a loan with an option to buy that makes Spurs comfortable with a deal.

It will be interesting to see whether the north London club is content with a loan to boost his value or get what they seem fair, considering his current form. Nonetheless, maybe a move to a different league and with a manager that’s familiar with him could be right Ndombélé.
