Report: Former Spurs manager wants to land Tanguy Ndombélé this January window

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 24: Tanguy Ndombele of Tottenham Hotspur reacts as he leaves the pitch after being substituted during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur at London Stadium on October 24, 2021 in London, England. (Photo by Julian Finney/Getty Images)

Tanguy Ndombélé has failed to solidify himself in the midfield and be the spine of the position, which is probably what Tottenham Hotspur envisioned when they spent €62-million plus up to €10-million in add-ons.

With the January transfer window now open, it’s time to sell off the 25-year-old and recoup some of the money they spent on him. According to Calciomercato, former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with Ndombélé at AS Roma.

The Italian media outlet states that Tottenham values the midfielder at €30-million, which might be too high for Roma. However, the Italian club could look for a loan with an option to buy that makes Spurs comfortable with a deal.

It will be interesting to see whether the north London club is content with a loan to boost his value or get what they seem fair, considering his current form. Nonetheless, maybe a move to a different league and with a manager that’s familiar with him could be right Ndombélé.

Just as Pantomime season is ending……’Oh no they don’t’. Who in God’s name would sign him, or Alli for that matter? Players like Ndom have loan written all over them.

Possibly he would have been successful in another league club but we are never lucky buying from the French league.

All players bought from the French league few seasons ago has turned out to be sh*t.

Arsenal are also counting their losses on Pepe too.

The algo links a former manager with a player he worked with. Genius.

This is one of those nonsense rumours. I reckon they feed a load of key words into some software and it spits out transfer ‘rumours’. Very odd.

Woo grand a year for him would be laughable. More comedy club material from Daniel and his team of ‘experts’

My guess though is that the club haven’t paid all of the reported original fee for him, I would imagine that a significant portion will be add-ons, based the player’s subsequent achievements. Of which there have been none of course.

The main stumbling block to any move might be getting another club to pay the reported 200k a week salary he’s stealing off his current employers? 🤔

Well put mate. Levy is a bad joke and it’s staggering the media still come up with this ‘shrewd’ nonsense. He couldn’t even get the real estate bit of his job done properly. Massively over budget and months late. He’s a prize plonker and we are stuck with him.

Swap him for Zaniola

Well said. The man is completely out of touch with reality when it comes to the world of football. The fans, transfers all of it. It’s quite staggering, especially when he’s painted as a ‘shrewd’ by some sections of the media.

Someone shrewd doesn’t oversee the wasting of the Bale money, not back a manger who clearly overachieved, break the club transfer record on players like Sissoko and then Dumb-belly. The list goes on.

Everything positive the team has done over about the last 10 years had been in spite of Levy, not because of. The one thing he does seem very good at, is throwing a spanner in the works just when the team begin to look like they’re close to becoming actually competitive enough for silverware. He’s a serial ’fu*ker-upper’ of anything actually logical and tangible on the pitch…

If you could get 30m for that lazy sod, I would snap their hand off. Won’t get anything like that I’m afraid though.

In the costs of N’belly & Lo Sell’s purchase, wages, and eventual sale price, we’ll see the true value of a Cambridge first in Economics and Land Economy when wealded by someone in a profession only half of which they understand.

Tottenham value N’Dombele at £30 million, I hope nobody told Mr Levy that.

Not sure what the point of posting this drivel is. Mourinho wouldn’t touch this lazy player with a barge pole.

Another dud that we’ll lose money on. Who in their right mind will pay money for a player who can’t play 90 minutes of football ? Levy strikes again.

Dele is another one. We’ll be lucky to get back that £5 million we paid for him that the song says “ I just don’t understand “ I do understand. He’s hopeless.

There must be a plan for players in and out this window , and Ndombele has to be part of it, no point in keeping an unhappy player.

Perhaps on reflection sell Lo Celso or N’Dombele. Based on game time I’d sell Lo Celso first as his injury record is shocking. Also when fit he hasn’t produced very much at all. N’Dombele can be a problem but he can produce a match-winning assist or goal.

We should sell N’Dombele if we can get decent money for him and bring in a playmaker this window, we should also sell Lo Celso and the 2 combined would give us some good funds.
Others that need to go are Dele and Doherty. The latter we might have to give away. That’s 4 players out and we need to get the same in.
Give Bergwjin until the summer to improve.
Priorities are a striker, AM and RB. A quality CB would also be nice if possible, and then Rodon can also be sold. The sales could be loans with obligation to buy if possible.
