Real Madrid star digs out Tottenham over Gareth Bale transfer

Ex-Chelsea goalkeeper and Gareth Bale’s teammate at Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois has aimed a sly dig at Tottenham by claiming that the Welshman has not joined the “good London team”.

Courtois left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2018 and he was teammates with the Spurs loanee for two seasons.

He knows how good the former Southampton trainee is and he has wished him well as he plays for Spurs.

He claimed that Bale and the manager had their private conversations which he didn’t care about, however, he got along well with the winger.

He then added that his former teammate is a great player and wished him well during his time in London.

He told El Larguero as per AS: “What Bale talked about with the coach is personal.

“I don’t know what he thought, but then they are decisions that each one makes.

“I had a good relationship with Gareth and I wish him the best of luck this year, even if he’s not playing for the good London team.

“He is a great player.”

Bale will be hoping to make his second debut for Spurs when league football returns this weekend against West Ham.

The attacker has looked sharp in training and Jose Mourinho will be hoping to unleash him alongside, Harry Kane against the Hammers.
