Paul Mitchell Set To Help Spurs Land Our Biggest Signing Of 2019/20 Summer?

The days of Paul Mitchell recommending players for Tottenham are long gone, but our former head of recruitment could inadvertently assist us in making our most important signing of the summer.

According to L’Equipe, the 38-year-old is expected to leave his current role at RB Leipzig to become the new sporting director at Monaco.

So how does this impact Spurs at all? Well, Spurs are understood to want Luis Campos as our new transfer guru; the man behind the rise of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Anthony Martial and many more.

Foot Mercato reported in May that Monaco were our main rivals to land Campos although the Portuguese has so far remained at Lille, whom he joined in 2017 after a very successful spell at Monaco.

Should Mitchell move to the principality outfit, that could open the door for us to snare Campos who has a long-standing, excellent relationship with Jose Mourinho and would be perfect for helping us navigate the post-Covid-19 transfer market.
