Tottenham have been linked to Max Aarons since the summer of 2019, as Sky Sports details, and fans were once excited about the prospect of signing the Norwich City kid to potentially solve our problem right-back position.
The 20-year-old was named in the Championship Team of the Season in the Canaries’ 2018-19 promotion campaign and has made a seamless step up to the Premier League despite Norwich’s struggles at the bottom of the table.
But has fan opinion now changed on Aarons being a suitable signing? Some of the responses to this tweet from @graphicstyler suggests that is the case.
I’m not sure where this has come from? Perhaps the links to every second right-back in Europe have seen the support that was once dedicated to the young Englishman diluted across numerous possible targets.
But Aarons still ticks a lot of boxes for me.
