An agreement has been reached for Tottenham defender Danny Rose to see out the rest of the 2019-20 season at Newcastle, according to Sky Sports.
Rose joined the Magpies on loan in January, making six appearances before Covid-19 brought the campaign to a halt, and now has the opportunity for a further nine Newcastle outings after his loan was extended beyond June 30.
While some Spurs fans still hold Rose in goodwill for his years as the best left-back in the Premier League, I think most of us can accept this is good news. His form has dropped off, of course, but he’s no worse than Ben Davies. It is his toxic attitude around the club that we’re better off without.
Although based on some tweets from Newcastle supporters, they aren’t too happy to be keeping him after seeing new pictures of Rose in training.
