An agreement is in place, but it is suggested a THFC demand may put any ‘deal under threat’

According to reports, Japhet Tanganga has come to an agreement with AC Milan over a summer move but Tottenham’s demand is ‘putting off’ the Serie A club.

Tanganga has been linked with a move away from Spurs all summer with reports suggesting he’s one of the nine players identified as surplus to Conte’s requirements. He only made played 11 times last season under the Italian and saw his season end early after he suffered a knee injury in February.

We had reported earlier this month that Tanganga has his heart set on AC Milan who were interested in him.

And now according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Milan who are actively looking for a defender with Tanganga being their first choice has already ‘agreed terms in principle’ with the 23-year-old defender.

However, the report claims that the move could be under threat because of Tottenham’s demands. The Italian club is looking to sign him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season but Spurs want to include an ‘obligation to buy’ clause in the deal.

Milan reportedly doesn’t want to be forced into a permanent signing and the player might not wait ‘indefinitely’ for the two clubs to sort out the terms. This puts the deal under threat but Spurs will have to take a softer stance if they want the deal to go through.
