“What we want and what other clubs want is not always possible to achieve” Kane warned subtly by Levy

Daniel Levy appears to have sent a subtle warning to Harry Kane as the Tottenham striker looks to leave the club this summer.

Kane has asked Tottenham to sell him after the Lilywhites endured another trophyless season.

The England captain is one of the world’s best strikers and has continued to score goals for Spurs.

He was the Premier League’s top scorer last season, yet they finished the campaign outside the top six.

This was yet another poor end to a campaign that started with so much promise.

Kane feels he can win trophies at another club and has asked Spurs to sell him for the right price.

Levy isn’t one to easily back down and will make it hard for another club to land the striker.

He spoke about the issue recently and admitted that he is also frustrated at the lack of trophies, but he warns that people don’t always get what they want.

Levy told the Spurs official website: ‘All I will say is his frustrations in not winning are shared by me and all the fans and players. We all want to win.

‘One of the items that Fabio will have to deal with when he comes in is which players are going to be retained, which will be asked to look for other clubs.

‘There is a market out there. What we want and what other clubs want is not always possible to achieve. We will do whatever is right for the club.’
