Troy Parrott looks special. Both on paper – six goals in four UEFA Youth League games, plus a senior Ireland cap aged just 17. And in the flesh – a well-built, confident striker who looks bursting to take any opportunity he gets.
But those opportunities have been very limited, despite an injury to Harry Kane and two youngster-friendly FA Cup games against Middlesbrough.
Parrott is only 17, but one feels he would benefit so much from regular first-team football.
And according to the MailOnline, Charlton Athletic could be set to offer him just that as they are eyeing up a loan move.
The Mail claim that Charlton are strong contenders to take Parrott to the Championship for the rest of the season.
Surely Spurs will only sanction such a deal if they sign another forward themselves…
